Background: I was in the Air Force for 20 years. I had various jobs: I was a loadmaster for a C-5 airplane. I was a counselor for people with drug and alcohol problems and I was a hospital operating room technician.
After the Air Force, I was a 5th grade science and math teacher in Delaware and Florida.

Job Title: Information Specialist
Employer: Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park
How long on job: 2 years.
What my job is: I am in charge of the volunteer program at the park. We are so lucky to have 300 volunteers. Also, I organize and plan the children's programs. We have a special program just for children every month. In the summer there is a summer camp at the park. I am in charge of coordinating and developing the educational programs and the signs for the displays at the park exhibits. I also plan the awards program for the employees and volunteers.
What I like best about my job: I love the opportunity to be creative.
What don't like most about my job: Having to wear a uniform!
Advice for kids who would like a job like mine: Study science, math, natural life sciences, social studies. Know what is out there in the world! You need good language skills to communicate well, to get the job you want. Creative thinking skills are important, too.

Favorite sport: Swimming, motorcycling
Hobbies: Reading, working on the computer, shopping for antiques, sewing
Goal: I would like to do more children's programming. I would like to write children's books.
